What a fun day at Marlowe Elementary today where the children were able to play, watch a movie, make and wear a hat just like the one in the famous “Dr. Seuss- Cat in the Hat book’. It was the famous Doctors birthday and had he lived he would have been 105.
My children as well as my grand-kids and now my great grand-kids have heard me read the wonderful Dr. Seuss books. His writings are so much fun to read as they seem to leave us with a feeling of happiness, silliness. For me, seeing the reaction of the boys and girls of all grades smiling with their painted cat whiskers and donning their top hats was a joy.
I think we all need more fun days in our lives. Here’s to “Dr Seuss” and many more celebrations!!!
