Workout Everyday

I decided to take a three month hiatus from volunteering and just feel free to do what I love best.  School is over until Labor Day week so my calendar so far had Pilate’s at 10 on Monday and today I had Hatha Yoga which is Flow Yoga (continuous poses) followed by an hour of “restorative yoga.” It is an incredible way to begin one’s week stress free, totally relaxed and stretched after this routine.

Tomorrow at 11 will be a half hour of abdominal moves and a  half- hour of body sculpting with weights and body bar.

Thursday is an hour of  beginners yoga and an hour of stretch max with bolsters and the use of eye-pads and neck pillows to quiet our minds and stretch our muscles while we tune out the world.

Friday is my favorite day, as I do an hour of Pilate’s with Props, a half hour of Chi Fusion (Tai Chi moves to wild crazy music) that brings out the best of us,  taught by the  one and only Michelle Dumovich, my favorite instructor and friend.  After a five minute break we clear the mats and pick up our weights to do a half hour of body sculpting.  By noon I am ready for a great lunch and a healthy smoothie.

My plan is to do this faithfully for the next eight weeks and then taper off to a few days a week and then start up again in August until school begins.  This is my summer plan in addition to finding an afternoon dance class and perhaps catching a few sun rays for my aging bones.  What are your plans???

Won’t you share them with us?
