Planning a Happy Day

One of my New Years resolutions is to have more happy days every month.  I decided that as soon as I open my eyes I will say thank you and smile and then do a wonderful head to toe stretch.  Arms up overhead reaching for the stars and legs reaching as far as possible.  In the beginning, you might feel cramped but after a few times you will love the energy flowing through your body and mind.

Plan to have a happy day and to smile as often as possible even at strangers.  Chances are they will smile back.  Complement some-one’s attire, tie, hair or just say “thank you” for being you, for being kind and helpful.  It makes you feel happy and the price is zero.

So many of us think we need money to be happy.  If we are happy with ourselves, we will feel rich in everything we do and have.  We are then able to inspire others as they see our smiling face.  If we can be happy, so can they.  At the end of the day as we climb into our beds, say a thank you and ask yourself if you made someone happy today.  If you did, I can guarantee you will fall asleep with a smile on your face.  Happy dreams, happy life.

The past 10 days have been successful and happy.  May it continue for the next 356 days.  It is a Leap Year!

I hope I can help bring a smile to your face at times Millie. Your writing here is uplifting and it does make me smile to my face. With your grandson coming I imagine you have a lot to smile about. Thanks for sharing, I’ll try that stretching routine tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Walk you inspire me to continue writing and hopefully creating an audience. The stretching is almost guaranteed to work miracles. Let me know your progress.
