This Thanksgiving Day I will be celebrating with my son Joe and his bride Chanipa.    We decided we would forgo the traditional Turkey and have a leg of lamb dinner with mashed garlic potatoes and sides of vegetables.  Joe loves apple pie and being Chanipa is from Thailand,  we thought she might like to sample brownies also.

I am thinking it must be so exciting and also a bit overwhelming, to view first hand how different we live with all of our modern conveniences.  Joe remarked only today, that Chanipa loved the microwave and found it fascinating along with the washer, dryer and dishwasher.

I am looking forward to meeting her for the first time and hearing about her country, heritage and family.   My ultimate prayer is for them to have a long happy life together.  My youngest son Darrin and Maria are now engaged and so this time next year I will be blessed with three daughter-in-laws.  How lucky can one woman be?  I definitely have lots to be thankful for this holiday season.

Have a great Thanksgiving. It sounds like an interesting day for you. Chanipa is a pretty and interesting name, ask her what it means in Thai. Congrats on all the new daughters you have.
