Words to Smile By

Thursday’s are usually started off at 10 in the morning when I arrive at the Harmony Yoga and Pilates Studio to do my 1 hour Pilates class. Sometimes the room is full and other times we have five or six and plenty of room to move around. Either way, we all manage to work our bodies to the max.

Usually myself and another great lady, Nita are the oldest in the class. The mix is usually some twenty somethings, some thirty somethings and some fifty somethings, but not too many in the forty year old group (not sure why). As we go through our intense routine, I always let out a little chuckle especially when I find myself doing a move perfect after having been trying to master it for weeks (sometimes months). Michelle, my sweet instructor says “you go girl, good for you.”

One time at the end of the class, one of the other students said “Ms. Millie, you are the biggest inspiration to us.” With heartfelt gratitude, I replied “Thank you!” and she said “No, thank you.”

Just a few nice words and it brings a smile. So easy to do. Be kind to someone today. Make them smile and feel good.
