A New Experience

Today I did my usual one hour Pilate’s class utilizing weights and a Pilate’s ring to help us tone and shape our muscles.  After this class I decided to try the new “Tai Chi” half hour class.  No special equipment was needed and we could stay barefoot.  As the music started to play I knew I was going to enjoy learning Tai Chi.  Michelle, our instructor started us off with the basic hand movements and interpretations and I fell right into it.  I loved the feet and legs posing and then the upper body bending and then stretching up reaching for the skies.  It was a feeling of power, freedom and before I knew it,  we were doing a cool down.   My body and mind had  the most calming feeling flowing through it.   Only my legs felt like jello.   It has been hours since this class but the feeling remains.  I am thinking Tai Chi and I are new friends and will meet on Fridays from now on.
