Weekend is Here

This has been a fun week filled with a nice lunch on Monday with my friend Merrily. We enjoyed filling each others’ ears with our latest news and plans and then made a date for the following month at Jimmy’s restaurant.

Then on Wednesday I visited the Pumpkin Patch with my first grade students as a class Mom. I must admit I felt like a kid again as I rode the school bus with them and then watched them enjoy the bean toss into the cardboard figures of pumpkins and scarecrows.  From my standpoint I would have to say  their favorite part was the face painting of an orange pumpkin on their cheek or hand.  After this, we had our bagged lunch provided by the school  under the trees,  sheltering us from the still warm sun and enjoyed the small pumpkins they gave the children as we boarded the bus back to the school.  We had a good time sharing our thoughts when we returned to the classroom.

Yesterday I met with my student Sophia (if you recall) she is the girl I mentor and she is doing extremely well planning her life’s goals on becoming a Vetenerian.  I remember how difficult it was to be a teenager focused on my studies and also wanting to fit in the social scene, yet Sophia seems to be handling it easily.

Tomorrow being Saturday I will be enjoying  my four hour shift at the gift shop and on  Sunday I will be doing my hour of Power Yoga in the morning and then plan to relax and catch up on my reading the Sunday papers and my shows that I have DVR’d.

So to all of you reading this post, I wish you a fabulous weekend and don’t forget to smile:) Ms Millie
