After my two hours at the school with my little first grade children who always manage to put a smile on my face I decided to do some shopping. I stopped at my local store (Walmart) and started for the produce counter when I see this curly head boy of about ten or 11 waving to me with a smile on his face. It took me maybe 5 or 10 seconds to remember Timothy from 2006 when I volunteered for his class.
He was shopping with his grandmother who was very cordial as we made introductions. I couldn’t help telling Timothy how grown up and mature he looked. He smiled and related he was now in middle school. The clock just keeps ticking and I am reminded of time well spent. As we wished each other a Happy Holiday and hugged once again I could feel that glow of happiness spread through my body.
Who could ask for more?
