Moving Up Ceremony

It was a very moving experience,  seeing my ten or twelve students from the 2005  school year now in fifth grade and receiving numerous awards for being outstanding in various subjects.  As early as first grade, you could almost see their potential as they were eager to learn and grasp bits of information, learn to count and spell and even tell time.

They looked so grown up for 11 year old children especially three of  the boys and two girls that were taller than my 5’2″  frame.  (I just be in the shrinking age).

As they walked into the school auditorium I snapped a few photos to remember how they look today and compare it with the class picture on my wall from 2005.   It makes my heart happy knowing  I made the journey along with them.  And as they smiled recognition and murmured a hi, I replied a good luck and continued success in middle school.

Children make a difference in our outlook on life and it keeps us motivated to keep learning along with them.
