Labor Day Weekend

Summer is just about over says the calendar but not here in sunny Florida as our heat is still a steamy 90 degrees with some beautiful blue skies.  I no longer sit out in the sun due to all the scares and the little dots that appear on my skin after 10-15 minutes exposure but I remember loving it as my body enjoyed all the natural Vitamin D.  Everything changes with age and I am finally realizing that I am not the young spring chicken I used to be.  My fast pace has slowed along with my quick recall of what I was doing just a few minutes ago.  But when I compare my notes with others I am doing pretty good and so I will give a thumbs up to my practicing yoga.  I truly believe that it keeps my muscles stretched and toned, my mind quieted for an hour or two and the ability to just relax.  It helps with my C.O.P.D and the yogic breath of fire keeps my lungs healthy in spite of their damage.  Yoga is giving me a longer quality of life and I would love to shout it over a loud-speaker “Do some yoga today, your mind and body will thank you”.
