I completed my walk yesterday in 20 minutes and so I need to quicken my pace next week and perhaps fine tune the time to perhaps 15 minutes working towards a goal of 10 minutes. My choice of movie was excellent as The Blind Side” lived up to its positive reviews. It leaves with that nice sigh and wow feeling that nice things do happen and there are nice people in the world. And so as I walked to my automobile for the ride home, I did some mental planning for the coming week as I have learned Ms Millie needs to have something to work towards. I have found that if I have goals, it is making a promise to myself and it keeps me grounded, until I accomplish it!
Perhaps you might have the same outcome with this approach. At least for me, that is how I manage to do what I do. My mind and body seem to benefit from this type of stimulation and maybe I am creating new brain cells or longevity. You never know what benefits we reap.
Today, my first Sunday class of the New Year and Power Yoga was the hour long class beginning at 11. This was my introduction to Power Yoga and it was a challenge! I have homework to practice, if I want to progress to where the advanced students are. My awesome instructor Melissa called out modifications for me, as the other students did the advanced moves and postures and yes I was able to keep up and my complexion is still glowing!
I am convinced that “Yoga is the freest, funnest medicine in the world today.”
It is truly magical for our flexibility and calmness for our minds and body. Tomorrow there are two back to back classes of Gentle Yoga and Pilate’ s starting at 10 in the morning and I am looking forward to the workouts and relaxation. Try it! Your body and mind will thank you.
Ten minutes of gratitude and smile at least 10 times today!
