Movie Mania

Netflix and Blockbuster have finally nabbed me with their offers of a free month of movies.  I have seen movies every day this week and yesterday I watched a movie in the afternoon.  This retirement life isn’t too bad when I think years ago, working full time raising a family as a single parent, I didn’t have two minutes to spare. Where on earth would I ever find time to watch a movie in its entirety in the afternoon?  It turned out to be good movie that gave you food for thought.

In the past there have been movies I watched and had no idea when it was over, what the story line was or the plot.  Now I can pick and choose the genre and actors, etc.  that I want to see.  If my selection turns out to be a dud, I can hit the eject button, viola!   back in the envelope and into the mailbox for a new film.  I think I will keep the Netflix for the summer and think about Blockbuster for the fall.  There’s something to be said Summer’s Lazy Afternoons!!

You’ll wish that summer could always be here”

  2. Yes indeed, I remember the tune and I am singing the words right now while I am typing my response to you. We are having a heat wave in Florida. My car registered 106 after being parked in the sun for 3 hours. I forgot to put the sun shade up, hence I could not touch the steering wheel till I ran the a/c for a few minutes. Summertime and the living is easy. Thank you for the deja vu Walk!!
