Too Many Choices

Many years ago,  when you were in the market to buy a new appliance, radio or television,  the specifications were pretty much the same for all brands and there were only a handful, if that many.

For the past month,  I have checked different websites to compare prices for a flat screen television that were bigger than my present 27inch.   Well, to my chagrin there are sizes up to 55 and 60 inches and many brands and info for each.   I finally narrowed my choices to either the Sony Bravia or the Samsung in the 46inch model.  I am learning about pixels and clarity, surround sound, home theater and Blue Ray not to forget High Definition.  (Not sure if I want to see my favorites up that close).  I prefer the Sony because I had a set for many years and never had a problem, but two of my sons prefer the Samsung and feel the extra cost isn’t necessary for a brand I prefer.   So,  I am still in limbo, but I need to make a decision before the season premiere shows begin especially  Dancing With the Stars in mid September.

I am open to suggestions!

Millie: I have a 42″ Sony Bravia and am totally satisfied with it. Like you, I have always preferred Sony. Good Luck with your decision.

I wish I could help, but my sets are older than dirt and twice as dusty. I think I’d have to go for the 60 inch, that would make DWTS’s feel like their right in the room with you. :>)

Thank you both, but just like a woman, I changed my mind and ordered the 40inch Samsung 120hz and will pick it up tomorrow at Sam’s Club. The monies saved will go towards expanding the channel choices and a DVR which will enable me to record all my shows and not miss any.

It is going to be a great Fall season and those DWTS’s will have me not missing a step.
