Planning a Cruise

A cruise vacation is by far the most value for your money in my opinion.  Having everything under one roof is ideal.  I can pack and unpack once and have fun the rest of the week dressing up and down.  High heels, low heels, workout shoes, bathing suits, shorts, formals, pretty tops and perky cover-ups.   Shopping on the ship is awesome with all their special sales on liquor, perfumes, gold by the inch.  The food, food and more food is  so wonderful and always delicious.  (I love breakfast with Eggs Benedict)  Number 1 on my list a few mornings a week.  Having a buffet lunch and then pig out for dinner helps keeps the pounds from creeping up.    There are lots of low cal choices, even some good tasting desserts.

They have the latest equipment to run on, stretch, climb,  in addition to yoga, and Pilate’s classes.   If you love ice skating – rock climbing – It looks like a lot of fun to do or even watch.

My favorite is dancing and my wish has always been to be on a cruise with professional dance hosts and just dance away to the disco music and the bands playing swing, cha cha’s.   Now my wish will be coming true New Years week as I sail with a friend from Fort Lauderdale -Half Moon Cay, Aruba, Curacao and back to Fort Lauderdale- 7 glorious days of fun, sun and dancing.    It is only February but I am planning my wardrobe.  I can hardly wait.  Put on your dancing shoes and join me to bring in the New Year 2009.

When I read that it was New Year’s Eve that you were cruising, I thought the ship had already left the dock and I don’t mean a literal ship. I have never thought to make plans for New Year’s Eve eleven months in advance. I don’t want to hear at the last moment that “I just don’t have anything to wear.” I couldn’t book something so far in advance, I’d think of nothing else until the big day came. As Bugs Bunny would say, “Bon Voyagie”.

Hey there, Thought you forgot to change the calendar? In the cruise industry the Holiday dates fill up quickly especially Christmas and New Years, so I need to be one of the early bookers to secure my spot. I know I will have something to wear, just need to keep my exercise routine going. It will keep me out of the doldrums or at least snap me back to reality quickly.
By the way have you been on a cruise?

It has been twenty plus years since I have cruised. I enjoyed it very much, but my wife gets motion sick very easy and I can’t persuade her to give it a try.
