Last week at this time I was stuffing clothes into my suitcases and trying to figure how they were all going to fit. Packing to go on a trip is always a neat and compact job. I don’t know if the clothes get bigger or stretched but somehow it doesn’t fit the bags. On a cruise, the luggage has to be outside your door by 10 pm so that they can store it in a locked room until we are in port the next morning. Then it is all brought to a waiting room for our pickup when we disembark. Somehow I am able to accomplish this on time.
It is fun to think back wishing I was still on the ship, but reality has brought me back to school-tax classes-volunteer duties and some serious writing. My meeting yesterday and luncheon seemed to be a success as everyone enjoyed the healthy wraps and some even commented on the green veggie wrap.
My friend Lorraine looked wonderful and she seemed happy to be back in the warm Florida air. She gave me a beautiful silver journal with an embossed heart outlined with nail-heads. This was for my birthday and I can’t wait to start writing in it. My personal diary for 2009.
